A proposal to measure the hadronic contribution to the g-2 in the space-like region

We propose a novel approach to determine the leading hadronic corrections to the muon g-2. It consists in a measurement of the effective electromagnetic coupling in the space-like region. This method may become feasible at flavor factories as well as with μ e scattering resulting in a determination potentially competitive with the dispersive approach via time-like data.
High-Frequency Experimental Characterization and Modeling of Six Pack IGBTs Power Modules

In this paper, a method to characterize the high-frequency (HF) behavior of six pack insulated gate bipolar transistors (IGBTs) power module (PM) is presented. The method is based on experimental measurements at the external pins of the device and it allows one to extract internal inductive and capacitive parasitic coupling without the knowledge of structural and physical parameters of the PM. The HF model of a six pack IGBTs PM has been developed, in the frequency range of 150 kHz-30 MHz, and it has been implemented in MATLAB environment. Near threshold photoproduction of eta mesons off the proton.

We have measured precise total and differential cross sections for the reaction $\ensuremath{\gamma}p\ensuremath{\rightarrow}p\ensuremath{\eta}$ from threshold to 790 MeV at the MAMI accelerator in Mainz with the neutral meson spectrometer TAPS. Resonance parameters of the ${S}_{11}$(1535) resonance and the electromagnetic coupling $\ensuremath{\gamma}p\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{S}_{11}$ have been extracted from the data. Contributions from the ${D}_{13}$(1520) resonance to $\ensuremath{\eta}$ photoproduction in the threshold region have been identified for the first time via interference terms in the angular distributions.
gamma-hadron correlations as a tool to trace the flow of energy lost from hard partons in heavy-ion collisions

High transverse momentum (P_T) gamma-hadron correlations are currently being regarded as the 'golden channel' for the study of the medium produced in ultrarelativistic heavy ion collisions by means of hard probes. This is due to several reasons, all linked to the fact that because of the smallness of the electromagnetic coupling alpha, the photon does not substantially interact with the medium and is expected to escape unmodified. Thus, a high P_T photon indicates a hard process in the collision independent of the position of the hard vertex.
